Story
Secret of the Lost Cavern plunges the player into an inspiring adventure that takes place during the Paleolithic period in prehistoric time, 15,000 years B.C.
At this time, our ancestors were able to communicate with one another, create fire, cook meat, cut flint and make spears for hunting...
They also could express themselves artistically, by playing music nd painting frescoes on the walls of the caverns, as seen today in the renowned Lascaux Cave.
During this Stone Age adventure, the life of a young hunter, Arok, is revealed. While on a fruitless hunt, Arok discovers an entry to a cavern marked with a strange symbol. It reminds him a charismatic traveller who ventured through the lands of his clan a few years before.
This traveller, Klem, a painter and sorcerer with the gift of speaking with the spirits of the world through the gorgeous paintings he creates on the walls of the caverns along his journeys.
During his journey, Arok must survive the rugged wilderness: brave wild animals, learn how to build a "spear thrower" (a tool alowing a strong and fast launch of an assegai), lure a ferocious bear away from his lair, harpoon huge salmons, traverse raging rivers...

Arok
Arok is a 15 year old european homo sapiens from the Paleolith period. This young hunter became an adventurer after his chance meeting with a charismatic traveller back in his childhood.
Brave and mischievous, our hero comes from the high lands where the climate is harsh. His clothing is heavier ans thicker than those of the other characters he meets along his journey.
His clan struggles for survival and does not have any knowledge of painting and engraving. theirs arts and crafts are practical and mainly used for hunting.
As a child, Arok used to be fascinated by the work of Klem. A number of years later, Arok decides to search for his mentor and hopefully discover more pleasant lands, learn more about reating beautiful frescoes...
Tika
Tika is Klem's daughter. She lives in a troglodyte shelter by a river, next to the Lascaux cave where her father works.
She guides the novice along other talented painter to the famous lair.
In spite of her young age, she has already acquired great knowledge of painting and test Arok's ability with the tablet's riddle...
Klem
Klem is a genius painter - the Michelangelo of his time.
Processing shamanistic powers and the knowledge of sorcery, he enjoys an outstanding presence and charisma.
He has inspired Arok with a deep apppreciation for art and adventure.
The Flintnapper
This straightforward and cheerfull man exudes a quiet strength.
He gives Arok invaluable advice how best to schoose and cut flint.
Thought him, Arok also learn more about the lifestyle of Klem and his people.
Klem's assistant painter
This serious, discreet and assiduous apprentice suffers from a lack of personality and passion to become as great an artist as Klem.
He is skeptical of Arok who arrives to an unfriendly welcome. Eventually, he allows Arok access to the sacred sanctuary.
